How Not to End the World | Ep 20 | Recap

Ep 19 Recap

Sasha, Pyotr’s Daughter

While Ep 19 ended somewhat suddenly, we picked up quickly, wrapping up the day with some schemes to try and get Mako[1] and Sasha back together.

From there, we moved onto Ymitri exploring hiss past, although not without some conflict first. During some tense exchanges, Milo and Pyotr tried to keep Ymitri from delving any deeper into consorting with the nightmarish terrors known as the Ordemists[2].

Eventually, though Milo relented - returning a talisman connected to the Ordemists, as well as some potent neurotoxins.

Ymitri, orphan child - over whom the Ordemists claim parantage

From there, they went to Malliman’s Magnificent Merchandise in the Mugre district, one of several stores owned and operated by Morrel Malliman. When they arrived, though, they found the typically boistrous and outgoing owner fidgity and nervous - as if he were afraid of even his own shadow. Soon after, with a little prodding, Milo and Ymitri heard a chilling tale of Malliman’s history with the Ordemists, finding out that he gave himself to the mysterious “Cult of the Astrologian’s Moon” in order to gain market dominance early in his career. The price he paid, however, turned out to be steep indeed. Fragmented memory, trouble making out faces, saying things he didn’t intend, and more.

Malliman offered Ymitri and Milo a panicked warning not to pursue the Ordemists any further, but Ymitri, at least, seemed to come away with a different impression of the exchange - insisting that he would continue trying to figure out how they were related to his parentage and history…
